Wood is a natural, renewable resource that is environmentally friendly and biodegradable. The majority of the wood used in the production of our wood, paper, and cardboard products comes from sustainable, FSC®-certified forestry . The FSC® label (FSC® C141761) guarantees that the wood was harvested in a way that benefits people, animals, and the environment.

WHEAT STRAW – A RENEWABLE AND ECONOMICAL RAW MATERIAL
For wheat straws, the stalks of the wheat plant are cut to the desired size and thoroughly cleaned before packaging. Since the wheat plant is processed into food anyway, the straws are a by-product and don't need to be sourced separately. This is very resource-efficient. After use, the straws reintegrate completely into the natural cycle without leaving any residue. Another advantage of wheat straws is that they are stable and long-lasting in liquids . Furthermore, the wheat straw does not impart any taste to the beverage.
STABLE, DURABLE AND REALLY LIGHTWEIGHT – BAMBOO.
Bamboo is one of the twelve subfamilies of the grass family (Poaceae) and can grow up to one meter per day. This allows the plants to be harvested after a short time. Since bamboo thrives without the use of pesticides, it is naturally organic.
Another advantage of bamboo as a raw material is its extremely high strength, elasticity, durability, and dimensional stability. Bamboo is biodegradable and a sustainable resource.
A PLASTIC MADE FROM NATURAL "INGREDIENTS" – THAT'S PLA.
PLA is short for polylactic acid (polylactide) and is a biodegradable bioplastic that—simply put—is made from plant starch (e.g., cornstarch) . The addition of talc powder and crystallization creates CPLA ("C" stands for "crystallized"), which makes the material even harder and more heat-resistant.
PLA is a truly environmentally friendly alternative to conventional single-use plastic products. All PLA products are manufactured using renewable raw materials, are petroleum-free, and are 100% biodegradable and compostable.
BAGASSE/ZUCKERROHR – UPCYCLING LEICHT GEMACHT
Durch Pressen wird aus den Rohren Zuckersaft gewonnen, das Nebenprodukt ist die sogenannte Bagasse. Dabei handelt es sich um die zermahlenen, faserigen Rückstände der Rohre, welche ein gutes Beispiel für Upcycling sind. Mit den Zuckerrohrfasern – quasi dem „Abfallprodukt“ – die bei der Verarbeitung von Zuckerrohr übrig bleiben, werden nachhaltige Einwegprodukte wie Verpackungen, Geschirr, Besteck u. v. m. hergestellt. Bagasse verfügt über wertvolle Eigenschaften, z. B. ist sie wasser- und fettdicht, temperaturbeständig und außerdem mikrowellengeeignet. Das biobasierte Material ist biologisch abbaubar und vollständig kompostierbar.
